Hi, I’m Elena.
I’m a depth-oriented psychotherapist providing virtual therapy for adults & seniors in Oregon.
I’m glad you’re here.
Therapy that follows the thread running beneath the surface.
Perhaps you feel like you’ve been knocking at the door of your own life, waiting for someone to answer. Perhaps you feel anxious that you’re too much, or not enough, or that you can’t breathe under the weight of something. You may be keenly aware of what hurts. You may struggle with a nameless ache that haunts you. No matter what brings us to therapy, we also arrive with burdens we aren’t aware of consciously, which tangle with the symptoms and struggles we bear.
Where even the most tangled inner life begins to breathe.
Therapy can be a detangling process that helps us unearth and tend to those burdens we carry that prevent healing. They can show up as fragmented stories about ourselves, stitched together with threads we don’t remember weaving. Some of these stories were never fully ours but inherited from familial, ancestral, or systemic trauma; some feel too painful to name, but we play them out anyway, without our understanding why. Sometimes these stories live in our body but don't yet have a voice. In this space, new language is found to tell them.
Together we’ll weave truer narratives that are felt, integrated, and lived out. Healing is rarely linear, it’s woven into everything. It’s an experiential process that can be tender, surprising, and profoundly meaningful. The insights discovered in therapy can bring relief and growth. Sometimes, what is gained is contact with our own aliveness. A more generous way of being with ourselves, our relationships, and the world becomes possible.
Healing begins in the safety of being deeply listened to.
This therapy is a safe space to be with your thoughts and emotions more fully. Our work together is collaborative. I help you listen to your unique self. To all of your parts, your memories, your defenses, your fantasies, your regrets, your contradictions, your dreams and symbols. We’ll create a safe space for the parts that were shamed, pushed down, and blurred out to finally speak, and be integrated with compassion.
I knit together a fierce respect for your humanity with clinical skill and the kind of empathy that comes from years of being in therapy myself. During our time together, we cultivate a respect for vulnerable messiness, a powerful sense of being heard, and a capacity to bear and metabolize our feelings.
This is trauma informed, psychodynamic work that is rooted in compassion and respect.

This approach is interwoven with various theories that support holding the complexity of being human with nuance and compassion.
